Type specimen: USNM 409972. Its type locality is USNM loc. 12878, Red Amphitheatre, Funeral Mountains, which is in a Wenlock deep subtidal shelf dolomite in the Hidden Valley Formation of California.

• Silurian of Canada (3: Northwest Territories, Nunavut collections), United States (1: California)
