Sister taxa: Mesoserphites annulus, Mesoserphites engeli, Mesoserphites giganteus, Mesoserphites scutatus
Type specimen: RSKM P3306.30d, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber (RSM collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
