Type specimen: Henan Museum of Natural History, L-08-7-3, a partial skeleton (articulated partial skeleton with complete skull). Its type locality is Qiupa, Luanchuan Basin, which is in a Maastrichtian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/conglomerate in the Qiupa Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Qiupa, Luanchuan Basin
