Type specimen: GLAHM 152373, part and counterpart, a partial skull (Skull roof). Its type locality is Ardenrigg No. 6 Mine, which is in a Westphalian A fluvial-deltaic shale/coal in the Scottish Lower Coal Measures Formation of the United Kingdom.

Distribution: found only at Ardenrigg No. 6 Mine
