Type specimen: ZDM 1001, a skeleton. Its type locality is Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower], which is in a Bajocian/Oxfordian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Shaximiao Formation of China.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Dashanpu Dinosaur Quarry [lower]
