Type specimen: SDSNH 60554,, a maxilla (right maxillary fragment with P3–P4). Its type locality is Spring Canyon, which is in a Duchesnean terrestrial mudstone in the Pomerado Formation of California.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Spring Canyon
