Type specimens:
- Filiconstrictosus majusculus: Harvard Univ. 58567, TBS-22-4-G, coordinates 51.8/121.0. Its type locality is Ellery Creek, which is in a Tonian peritidal chert in the Bitter Springs Formation of Australia.
- Orculiphycus agnastus:
Ecology: stationary "photoautotroph"
Distribution: found only at Ellery Creek
