Sister taxa: Biocatenoides incrustata, Biocatenoides rhabdos, Biocatenoides sphaerula
Type specimen: CPC 16922, thin section 73425955, coordinates 18.7x117.4. Its type locality is MacArthur River Mine, borehole I17/96 WD, 185.3 m depth, which is in a Statherian basinal (siliciclastic) shale in the Barney Creek Formation of Australia.
Distribution: found only at MacArthur River Mine, borehole I17/96 WD, 185.3 m depth
