Sister taxon: Taenicephalites macrops

Type specimen: CPC 15300, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Horse Creek K226, which is in an Iverian open shallow subtidal grainstone in the Chatsworth Formation of Australia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore

Distribution:

• Cambrian of Australia (20 collections)

Total: 20 collections each including a single occurrence
