Sister taxon: Spathiopteryx alavarommopsis

Type specimen: NHMUS PAL 2022.3.1, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Ajka amber (NHMUS/MTM collection), which is in a Santonian terrestrial amber in Hungary.
