Sister taxon: Lasaeola (Phycosoma) inclinata

Type specimen: IHNFG-5975, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Montecristo amber mines, Simojovel de Allende (IHNFG collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Mexico.

Distribution: found only at Montecristo amber mines, Simojovel de Allende (IHNFG collection)
