Sister taxa: Brevipterus megacephalus, Brevipterus obtusiapicis, Brevipterus strungei
Type specimen: MHBU BU-COL-CAN0007, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Hebei University MHBU collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.

Distribution: found only at Burmese amber (Hebei University MHBU collection)
