Type specimen: UFSM 11348a (almost complete right ilium). Its type locality is Picada do Gama site, which is in a Ladinian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore
Distribution: found only at Picada do Gama site
