Sister taxon: Archaeoserphites melqarti
Type specimen: PIN 5620/78a, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Burmese amber (PIN collection 5620), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.

Distribution: found only at Burmese amber (PIN collection 5620)
