Belongs to Dechenelloides according to B. A. Engel and N. Morris 1996
Sister taxon: Dechenelloides angustigenatus
Type specimen: AMF 96983, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is NUL 861, Berrico District, which is in a Visean foreshore sandstone in the Berrico Creek Formation of Australia.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at NUL 861, Berrico District
