Type specimen: CNHM P-15542, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is One and One-Half Miles North of Mesa, which is in a Clarkforkian terrestrial horizon in the DeBeque Formation of Colorado.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Clarkforkian of United States (1: Colorado collection)

• Paleocene of United States (2: Wyoming)
