Type specimen: CM 45993, a pygidium. Its type locality is Dead Mans Branch, Alamo Canyon, Lake Valley Formation, Alamogordo Member, Otero, which is in an Osagean deep subtidal shelf lime mudstone/wackestone in the Lake Valley Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at Dead Mans Branch, Alamo Canyon, Lake Valley Formation, Alamogordo Member, Otero
