Type specimen: NVP005, a shell (complete carapace and plastron). Its type locality is Qarn Gennah, which is in a Campanian fluvial sandstone in the Quseir Formation of Egypt.
Ecology: amphibious omnivore
Distribution: found only at Qarn Gennah
