Sister taxa: Daspletosaurus horneri, Daspletosaurus torosus
Type specimen: BDM 107, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Jack’s B2 site, which is in a Campanian delta plain horizon in the Judith River Formation of Montana.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Jack’s B2 site
