Sister taxa: Cyrtoproetus (Crassibole), Cyrtoproetus (Cyrtoproetus), Cyrtoproetus (Sinocyrtoproetus), Cyrtoproetus cracoensis, Cyrtoproetus korni
Type specimen: SMF 100829, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is Rösenbeck bei Brilon, which is in an Ivorian marine limestone in the Erdbach Formation of Germany.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
Distribution: found only at Rösenbeck bei Brilon
