Type specimen: GMNH-PI-6322, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is East slope of Mt. Kabutoiwa, which is in a Piacenzian crater lake tuff in the Maisawa Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at East slope of Mt. Kabutoiwa
