Type specimen: UCMP 22362, a partial skeleton (the most important parts of the dentition. with six or seven representative elements of the limbs). Its type locality is Rattlesnake, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial siltstone in the Rattlesnake Formation of Oregon.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore-carnivore

Distribution:

• Hemphillian of United States (4: Nebraska, Oregon collections)

• Miocene of United States (1: Oregon)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
