Sister taxon: Kimbetohia mziae

Type specimen: UCMP 31305, a partial skeleton (Skull fragment with left P2–4 and partial right P1). Its type locality is Mammalon Hill, which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of United States (2: New Mexico, Utah collections)

• Cretaceous of United States (1: New Mexico)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
