Type specimen: IVPP V 26581AB, a partial skeleton (anterior part of a lizard including a well- preserved skull on a small but intact single slab to which is glued a second slab (catalogued as IVPP V 31369)). Its type locality is Moqi Fauna, which is in an Aptian terrestrial shale in China.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Moqi Fauna
