Sister taxon: Archeostenoniscus mexicanus
Type specimen: IHNFG-4988/A, a carapace. Its type locality is Mexican amber, Campo La Granja (IHNFG collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in the La Quinta Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: epifaunal omnivore
Distribution: found only at Mexican amber, Campo La Granja (IHNFG collection)
