Sister taxon: Archaeocyclotus brevivillosus

Type specimen: NMNS PM 27992, a shell. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (NMNS Tsukuba collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
