Type specimen: PV-UNS-260, a skull (a laterally compressed cranium, partially complete dorsal carapace, and partial skeleton). Its type locality is Epu Leufú site, Arroyo Chasicó locality, which is in a Chasicoan terrestrial horizon in the Arroyo Chasicó Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
