Sister taxa: Litomylus aequidens, Litomylus dissentaneus, Litomylus grandaletes, Litomylus orthronepius, Litomylus scaphicus

Type specimen: USNM 21263, a mandible. Its type locality is Twin Creeks, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Evanston Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of United States (3: Colorado, Montana, Wyoming collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
