Sister taxa: Paralimnocythere bouleigensis, Paralimnocythere hasuii, Paralimnocythere musacchioi
Type specimen: MLP-MI 1880, a carapace (Complete caparace). Its type locality is Sección Auca Mahuevo (Muestra 5), which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian shallow subtidal sandstone/mudstone in the Allen Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer
Distribution: found only at Sección Auca Mahuevo (Muestra 5)
