Belongs to Platycosta according to A. Bertels 1969
Sister taxon: Platycosta inornata
Type specimen: FCEN-LM 269, a carapace (Complete caparace). Its type locality is Huantraico (CP-5), which is in a Danian marine limestone in the Roca Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: epifaunal detritivore-grazer
Distribution: found only at Huantraico (CP-5)
