Belongs to Apocephalus according to M. M. Solórzano-Kraemer and B. V. Brown 2021
Sister taxa: Apocephalus dominicanus, Apocephalus miocenus, Apocephalus succineus
Type specimen: SMNS Mx-443, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Mexican amber (SMNS collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in the Mazantic Shale Formation of Mexico.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Mexican amber (SMNS collection)
