Type specimen: UCMP 12506, a mandible (The anterior part of a left mandibular ramus with a broken lower incisor; p4 and m1 intact.). Its type locality is Thousand Creek Formation, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Thousand Creek Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: semifossorial granivore-frugivore

Distribution:

• Hemphillian of United States (2: Nebraska, Nevada collections)
