Type specimen: MCNAM PV 5011, a limb element (Complete right astragalus). Its type locality is Quebrada Fiera, which is in an Oligocene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal tuff in the Agua de la Piedra Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore
Distribution: found only at Quebrada Fiera
