Type specimens:

  • Menoceras barbouri: M.C.Z. No. 4452, a partial skull (palate, basis cranii and occiput). Its type locality is Thomas Farm, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial sandstone/claystone in the Alachua Formation of Florida.
  • Menoceras falkenbachi: UNSM 1241.
  • Menoceras marslandensis:
  • Moschoedestes delahoensis: TMM 40694-2, a mandible. Its type locality is Castolon (TMM 40694), which is in a Harrisonian terrestrial horizon in the Delaho Formation of Texas.
