Sister taxon: Sandiella readi
Type specimen: Museum am Schölerberg PAL 1670, a forewing. Its type locality is Piesberg quarry, lacustrine deposit, which is in a Westphalian D lacustrine deltaic claystone in Germany.

Distribution: found only at Piesberg quarry, lacustrine deposit
