Sister taxon: Yabeithyris kanazawaensis
Type specimen: IGPS 72536, a shell. Its type locality is Horakuji, Noto Peninsula, which is in a Langhian marine siliciclastic in the Akaura Formation of Japan.
Ecology: stationary low-level epifaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Horakuji, Noto Peninsula
