Sister taxa: Tyrannosauripus, Tyrannosaurus rex, Tyrannosaurus turpanensis
Type specimen: NMMNH P-3698, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Staton-LaPoint locality, NMMNH L-353, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian terrestrial shale/sandstone in the Hall Lake Formation of New Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Staton-LaPoint locality, NMMNH L-353
