Type specimen: OU 22394, a partial skeleton (partial right frontal and braincase with articulated right periotic and associated right tympanic bulla, teeth, partial atlas and axis, one partial post-axis ce). Its type locality is Awamoko Valley, which is in a Duntroonian marine sandstone in the Kokoamu Greensand Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Awamoko Valley
