Type specimen: IVPP V 27593, a maxilla (left maxilla). Its type locality is Yangwapuzijifang, which is in a MN 12/MN 13 terrestrial claystone in the Liushu Formation of China.

Ecology: fossorial carnivore

Distribution: found only at Yangwapuzijifang
