Type specimen: USNM 8199, a set of vertebrae (isolated dorsal vertebrae). Its type locality is One Mile Above the Mouth of Dog Creek, which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in the Claggett Formation of Montana.

Ecology: aquatic piscivore

Distribution: found only at One Mile Above the Mouth of Dog Creek
