Sister taxa: Lacinia alveata, Lacinia claibornensis, Lacinia minbuensis
Type specimen: UCMP 33703. Its type locality is UCMP loc. A-1314, Smith Canyon, Capay Valley, which is in a Ypresian deep subtidal mudstone/conglomerate in the Capay Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution: found only at UCMP loc. A-1314, Smith Canyon, Capay Valley
