Sister taxa: Gnesioceramus anglicus, Gnesioceramus bellvuensis, Gnesioceramus comancheanus, Gnesioceramus cripsii

Type specimen: USNM 544473. Its type locality is USNM 23021. Just south of Fisherman's road, which is in a Cenomanian offshore shale in the Mowry Formation of Montana.

Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal suspension feeder

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of United States (3: Montana collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
