Type specimen: MUSM 4687, a partial skull (partial cranium lacking most of the rostrum, the zygomatic processes of the squamosal, the occipital condyles and the ear bones). Its type locality is Cerros la Mama y la Hija, which is in a Tortonian marine horizon in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
Ecology: aquatic piscivore-carnivore
Distribution: found only at Cerros la Mama y la Hija
