Sister taxa: Niglarodon blacki, Niglarodon brachyodon, Niglarodon loneyi, Niglarodon petersonensis, Niglarodon progressus, Niglarodon yeariani

Type specimen: YPM 14024, a mandible (right mandible with p4-m2, lacking the incisor, coronoid process, and angle). Its type locality is Fort Logan, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in Montana.

Ecology: fossorial herbivore

Distribution:

• Arikareean of United States (4: Montana collections)

• Oligocene of United States (1: South Dakota)

Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
