Sister taxa: Nothokemas floridanus, Nothokemas waldropi
Type specimen: UT-BEG 40067-10, a mandible (partial right mandible with /c-m3). Its type locality is Hidalgo Bluff, which is in a Hemingfordian terrestrial horizon in the Oakville Formation of Texas.
Ecology: ground dwelling browser-browser
Distribution: found only at Hidalgo Bluff
