Sister taxon: Xampylodon dentatus
Type specimen: MN 7825-V, a set of teeth. Its type locality is Filo Negro Section, Klb 9, which is in a Maastrichtian marine siltstone/carbonate in the López de Bertodano Formation of Antarctica.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Filo Negro Section, Klb 9
