Type specimen: LACM-DI 158616, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is LACM locality 8057, north slope of Favret Canyon, which is in an Anisian coastal mudstone/shale in the Favret Formation of Nevada.

Ecology: planktonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at LACM locality 8057, north slope of Favret Canyon
