Sister taxa: Araripesuchus buitreraensis, Araripesuchus gomesii, Araripesuchus patagonicus, Araripesuchus rattoides, Araripesuchus tsangatsangana, Araripesuchus wegeneri
Type specimen: MPCA PV 545, a partial skull. Its type locality is La Buitrera MED3 (Hoyada de los esfenodontes), which is in a Cenomanian crevasse splay sandstone in the Candeleros Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: planktonic carnivore

• Cretaceous of Argentina (2 collections)
