Type specimen: OU 21977, a limb element (nearly complete left humerus). Its type locality is Hakataramea Quarry, which is in an Oligocene marine limestone in the Otekaike Limestone Formation of New Zealand.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore

Distribution: found only at Hakataramea Quarry
