Sister taxa: Palaechthon alticuspis, Palaechthon woodi

Type specimen: UKMNH 7903, a maxilla (right maxillary fragment with P2-M3). Its type locality is Kutz Canyon (KUVP loc. 14), which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.

Ecology: arboreal insectivore-omnivore

Distribution:

• Paleocene of United States (2: New Mexico collections)

Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
